  • Honor/Memorial Issue

Hi. I’m looking for some advice/suggestions. We have a donor who has set up his own fund here. At times he contacts us and tells us he wants to make a donation from this fund as a memorial gift. Essentially it’s almost a courtesy – we send a memorial notice to a recipient at his request. Because the...

  • Help With the Honor/Memorial Tab

Hello, I'm new to RE, and I'm attempting to find the best way to utilize the Honor/Memorial Tab. We have memorial and honor gifts come in everyday, however, I work for an animal welfare organization so sometimes the gift is in memory of a pet. I don't want to create a record for the pets...

  • Re: Deceased Records

Hi Nina, we do something similar to you, we save the address as previous and then type in Memorial. It does seem like overkill but I've had too many people trying to run their own lists who don't understand/think about the checkbox feature end up mailing to deceased people. At least this way...

  • Annual Report SOP

Hi, Does anyone out there have an SOP on how to list donors in the annual report. We want to be consistent when listing donors. Currently we list them as Mr. and Mrs. John Smith, Mr. & Mrs. John Smith so its not consistent at all. If anyone can share a document or share what they are doing that would...

  • Update Suggestion – Table Definitions & Field Map on Code Table Report

Further to another post regarding Table Entry Definitions, a colleague and I had couple other ideas that we thought could be beneficial. - TABLE DEFINITIONS - At a higher level than the table entry definitions, have a synopsys of what the purpose of the table entries in a particular table should...

  • Update Suggestion - Table Entry Definitions

So a common issue that I have discovered working with Raiser’s Edge is that over time, people forget or don’t understand what the various table entries mean, and therefore start using them for reasons other than their intended purpose. Some of us do our best to document definitions in order to help...

  • Re: 2 acknowledgees

Take a look at the Honor/Memorial Tab on your deceased constituent record. You can create multiple Memorials and use the Description (or notes) field as your indicator. In the situation you have described, we err on the side of just saying in memory of Jane Doe and creating one Memorial record. The acknowledgement...

  • 2 acknowledgees

What do I do in a situtation where I have two acknowledgees? ie) Jane Doe passed away and has two surviving children and a husband. Some of the memorial gifts want the acknowledgement to go to the widower, some want it to go to the son and some the daughter. Although I have tried to set up the memorial...
