transaction codes (RSS)
  • Re: Class vs Project vs Grant

Joanne, depending on how many t-codes (grants) you have, you might want to consider creating queries to export those transactions to excel &change the t-code to a project number, then import back to FE so that you have use of the full reporting features of FE.

  • Re: Ideas on how to track costs for two tasks within a project?

We have managed it using Transaction Codes. We established a Transaction Code Set - Special Designation and then have multiple entries under this. We use a project to track donations and expenses for our mission work in the Sudan. Much of this funding is designated for specific items (e.g., a school...

  • Ideas on how to track costs for two tasks within a project?

I'm probably making this more complicated than needed and could use some ideas. Our chart of accounts is set up xx-xxxxxx (fund-acct #). I currently have about 500 "Project IDs" for the various scholarships, campus programs, and other funds. All program funds are expensed to 01-5xxxxx accounts...

  • Do you have a good solution to track expenses by location?

We are using Transaction Codes to track expenses at our 3 locations. • Re: Transaction Codes vs. Attributes

Can someone please explain how you set up the attributes to carry over from the other modules to the GL? Additionally, has anyone found an efficient method of enterring the data for an attribute? We may need to start using an attribute to tell us if the spending was inside or outside of the US (Yay for...

  • Transaction Code as required field.

Hi, Does anybody know about making Transaction Code a required field? Can we make individual TCs required or is does making them required make all 5 TCs required? Plus anybody know how to do that, i.e. make a field required and/or add a default value if none is selected? Thanks, Glen

  • Understanding Transaction Codes

I've been given the assignment to research the Grant Module, and Transaction Codes for our system (2 features we currently don't use but we are looking into starting to use now that we are receiving some grant funding), and I just want to make sure that what I'm understand is how it works...

  • Transaction Codes vs. Attributes

In setting up FE, we are hung up on the use of Transaction Codes vs. Attributes. The user guides, knowledge base & previous forum postings have not been helpful. I would appreciate input on how you use transaction codes & attributes in your organization. Thank you in advance for your...
