registration fees (RSS)
  • Re: Track registration fees paid in RE but not count them in yearly gifts

I'm struggling with this right now, too. While I know exactly why you want to do it, as I look at the Event setup I don't see a place to assign the registration fees to a fund, which I think is important for accounting/bank reconciliation purposes. Anyone who has more thoughts would be welcomed...

  • Re: Events Module and Ad Journals...

Hi Tom, Two possible ways that you could address this need: 1)Make the different ads that you sell different types of units on the Pricing tab of the Event record. With this option, anyone who purchased an ad would need to be added as a registrant for the event and their 'registration fee' could...

  • Re: Events Module gift records

I have a follow up to this question. We also track our registration fees through the event module, but until now the only way they are distinguished in the fund/appeal structure is in a different package. (We use Annual Fund, Appeal = Event/Year, Package=breakdown of event). Now I'm being asked to...

  • tracking events in RE

Since event fees are not donations, how can I separate them out in RE so that we are not accidentally calculating fees in a person's overall donations? Is it better to create a new Campaign called "events", with Fund = "event name" and appeal = "event date". Or use our...

  • Re: Events Module General Questions

The trick is (and this is annoying) you can't change someone from a Sponsor to Registrant, Registrant to Guest, or vice versa, without deleting their participant record entirely and re-entering it. This is especially annoying when someone makes a personal non-registration gift to an event (so we...

  • Event sponsors and registrations fees.

If an event sponsor pays for a table of ten, would you link their gift to the event as a registration fee, and then then not have any registration fees for their guests, or put in registration fees for their guests and pay them from the sponsor's gift, or Both?

  • Events - Registration Fees

Hi, We are having a run that has a $30.00 registration fee. The runners get a t-shirt with their registration. Is a registration fee tax deductible or can it be considered a donation. Do we need to subtract the value of the t-shirt from the donation and receipt the difference? I want to know how others...

  • Re: Events Module: Participation

We use a Hierarchy for Participation: Neither of which I use to track the 2 things you're tracking Example: Sponsor, Donor, Guest, Vendor etc. Sponsorships and reservations are broken out further by using registration fees. Committees we track using Constituent Attributes - not the actual event Table...

  • Re: Recording Tickets and Benefits

If you do a search there are probably a few differnt methods out there. I would suggest using Registration fees in the event module. If you don't have the event module you may want to look at using a gift attribute to put in the number of tickets and then export that field to excel or something that...

  • Re: Event setup for 5K Run or Walk-A-Thon

Hi Emily, We've done this a couple ways in the past here is one example: If they are paying for themselves - enter them as Registrants: 1 - Enter Registration Fees , including amount paid. 2 – On the General Tab, click the More button and enter: 1) Gender 2) Age 3) Team (Use this field for T-shirt...
