Hi, If you already track children relationships, couldn't you just query on all those couples that don't have an individual relationship where the relationship/reciprocal field is child? Charlotte

We capture it as an attribute on the organzational relationship of retired = yes. We also have the relationship as former employer and the reciprocal as retired employee.

Relationship Question - Primary Business Information Check Box
Under individual relationships what is the difference between the primary business information check box and employee check box? Why are both listed since the primary business information as per Knowledgebase is used to indicate that the business is the indivual's current employer. This seems redundant...

We are having a roaring debate in our office on how to handle deceased spouses. We have the constituent's marital status (and reciprocal relationship )as WIDOWED with the deceased spouse's relationship code as Spouse - Deceased. The problem is one of us hard headed users wants to deselect SPOUSE...

"Retired" business relationship
Where is the best place to capture a "retired" business relationship? I notice the sample database captures it in Professions. I know of an organization that captures it in Relationships, but does not have a Reciprocal Relationship to match it. We have it in several places on different records...

We keep a separate record for a company's match program, distinct from any other record(s) we may have for the company's headquarters, branches, etc. This is regardless of what kind of entity is the legal donor of the MGs (the company, its corporate foundation, a third-party 501(c)3 . . . )....
