  • Re: Gift processing times - how many per hour

I have a great spreadsheet that might provide some insight on gift processing times. This spreadsheet is from a nonprofit client of ours that was processing a large amount of gifts that came in from their lockbox provider. They are a large nonprofit that have experienced staff that used Raiser's...

  • Does anyone use a lockbox

We are in the process of using a lockbox for our upcoming appeal and I would like to know if anyone has experience importing gift records into a batch to then committ.

  • Importing Membership Renewal data received from Lockbox electronic file

my finance department wants to investigate the idea of getting membership renewal data from our lockbox provider in electronic format rather than paper. The hope is we can then import the renewals directly into RE rather than manually entering the information into RE. Is anyone doing that?? Would you...

  • Multiple Organizations with same name-different Addreses

I would like to find out how other organizations manage corporations with multiples addresses and what are the benefits? We have corporations that we do business with/or provide us with services, and have coded them as vendors, and once a year we get information from within our system to update them...

  • Re: Scanner for data entry

Melissa, Depending on your annual volume, going the lockbox route can add considerable cost without making your data entry any easier. In fact, lockbox tends to increase the amount of data entry work on top of the cost of the lockbox. I'd suggest that you talk with fellow RE'ers that have tried...

  • Re: Scanner for data entry

When our auditors want to look for a gift, we can check the batch number on the donor's record and then pull the batch...

  • Check Entry Procedures

I would like to know how other organizations handle actual "live" check gift entry. The majority of our gifts go through our lockbox but we also get people who send them direct. As it stands, one person from our office (can't be me or the AF director) has to go pick up the mail...

  • lockbox information

Our Finance department is considering switching us to a lockbox. However, I've raised the issue of the fact that we get not only donation checks in my office, but often payment for services which are then forwarded down to finance to be applied to resident/tenant accounts. How does everyone else...

  • Lockbox Services

Looking for any information from those of you who use lockbox services. Are you using just the basic service or the electronic data delivery service? If using the electronic option, how are the gifts being imported into RE? Are you finding that you are saving staff time in the gift processing area by...

  • Gift Processing Metrics

Can anyone point me toward any discussions among this forum or others regarding RE gift entry (batch),letter and tribute processing time, etc.? We are trying to get a sense as to how our processing time compares to other NPO's to see if we are adequately staffed for this role. We currently process...
