  • Re: Generating labels in RE

Hi Ruth, We rarely generate mailing lables in our development department, but our grants department uses RE for Nonprofit organizations and they do generate a lot of lables. They use the RE Mail function for that purpose without any issues. We use RE Mail for other mailings, generating lists for review...

  • Re: Individual versus Organization

Hi Cara and JoAnn, The functionality that JoAnn just mentioned on the Org tab is a great way to avoid having someone receive 2 mailings because they are both an individual and a contact for an organization. Another tool that you can use to 'de-dupe' a record that exists in multiple queries would...

  • Re: Query- suppressing duplicate records

Hi Cynthia, Having a constituent's name appear multiple times in your query results will not result in a multiple labels being generated for that constituent when you use the query in Mail, Labels but I am often asked how do I get these names to appear only once so that I can print a nice list. If...

  • Re: Relationships - Organizational Contacts

[quote user="Colleen Maglone"] My mailings have many duplicates in them because I have someone who has their own record, they are also a contact on an organization that we mail to, and they are also on another organization reocord as a contact because they sit on their board. • Re: Address Standardization

Ken - love the PDF - was looking for this type of info for a different issue last month. Marni - We keep ours on one line - this is how I was told post office preferred it and I don't have to worry if someone doesn't pull address line 2 when running labels or envelope. per the PDF section 213...

  • Re: Only one please

I assuming you are processing your mailing list through RE Mail. If your using Export then this may/may not apply I would think you will want to use "Mail only to constituents marked Head of Household". You will need the 'with spouse addressee' field on the head of household record...

  • Re: Two Line Addressees for Alumni

[quote user="Gayle Allison"] I have been asked to research how to accomplish the following format change for our mailings. For alumni, we would like to move away from the formal combined addressee format and use the following: Change from Mr. and Mrs. John Smith 12 Main Street Anywhere, PA...

  • Re: No Results In Constituency

Rose, Your outuput query generates the desired results due to the filters set up in the label function. I'm guessing a filter there is looking for the constituent code. Running any of the functions in mail when you set filters and/or attiributes create a query of their own. If your criteria is selected...

  • Coding Mailing Preferences (Hardcopy vs. E-mail)

We are moving toward sending our quarterly newsletters and periodic postcards out electronically to as many of our present constituents as possible (based on their stated preferences). Our plan is to create an "eNews Preferred" solicit code to filter out for printed mailing labels and conversely...

  • Using a query in Mail

Hello, When you are setting up labels or letters in MAIL and you choose to use a query for records to include - Do you need to go and update the query first each time you want to run the label or letters? Or does running the labels/letters automatically update the query for you? Thanks, Cindy
