• Re: Global Add - more records than anticipated

Had maybe a lightbulb go on. In the export did you use HOH processing? That could result in a smaller list, especially if spouses have separate records and you most likely would not have exported each separately. But if they have their own record, global add will put it on both if they are in the query...

  • Re: Add Appeal to Constituent Records

Ben, I think you'll get what you need if you take the query (good job saving your mailing list query) and run a global add. Go to Admin > Globally Add Records > Add - select Appeal; Include - select your query (don't miss this step); Appeal Information - add your data. Remember - can't...

  • Restructuring Campaigns and Funds in our RE Database

Hi. I am fairly new to Raiser's Edge (even though we've had the system in place for several years). I've realized that we have not been setting up our Campaigns, Funds and Appeals as intended and need to restructure them. Moving forward, I want to create two overarching campaigns (Annual...

  • Re: Quick way to add Constituent Attributes?

See if you can make a query. If it's a small #, I usually use 'specific record' criteria to create my query. (Criteria > Constituent > Specific record > One of: F7 and tab quick way to navigate creating the list.) If it's a large # of records, is there anything they have in common...

  • Re: What would work best...constituent code, attribute, appeal, or other?

Patra, I/We would not use constit code as attendance/non-attendance at an event does not fit our use for that field. For us, constit code is more 'why are they in database, what's relationship to us.' You could use an attribute or an appeal - each provides different options. I'd go with...

  • What would work best...constituent code, attribute, appeal, or other?

This is my very first post, but I have seen so many people who are very knowledgable in RE help other users with their questions. So here goes.... I'm having a hard time deciding how to track an event that people do not attend. We only have the standard RE modules and I would like to track the people...

  • globally add action after email is sent

I can use globally add to send a global email to a specific group of constituents. I can also globally add an action that i sent an email to a group of constituents. But i can't seem to find how/where the email is automatically added as an action onto the records of the individuals in that group...

  • Re: Populating a query from an external list of Constituent IDs

Natalie, If I'm reading your need. I think you have two options: query with global add (changing/adding to each desired record in RE database) or an import (adding info to desired records in RE). If you have an existing query or can easily create a query of the records you want to add the appeal...

  • Re: Linking many constituents to one action
Could somebody please tell me if there is a way to link many constituents to one action? It would make our lives a LOT easier.
Haven't tried to go at it that way: Action to Constituents. But I know you can do Constit to Action. if you have the constituents in...

  • Re: globally adding action to action track

Hi Audrey, The easiest way to accomplish your goal is to continue generating the letters through Follow Up Letters in Mail and on the General tab choose the option in the lower left corner to Create Action output query. This tool will create an Action query that groups the actions for which you have...
