  • Re: Campaigns/Funds

Cristabel, Does that format make sense for your org? Does it sound like it would work? For us it works, but I'm not saying that format would work for anyone else when I don't know what your structure really is. On setting required fields, no it doesn't make any difference to your campaign...

  • Re: Campaigns/Funds

As Melissa posted, I also think you'll find you need more funds. Example: We record donations for our YMCA and two branch YMCAs. Each Y has their own budget. So for the annual campaign each has their own fund. (For our org each actually has their own corresponding campaign too.) One of our branches...

  • Campaigns/Funds

I am setting up our Campaigns and Funds and would just like to check that I'm doing it right. I work for a charity that manages 3 schools, the database will have donations made for all 3 on it. There are then 3 main areas that donations can go towards (each school then has other specific schloarships...

  • Re: when to use "Campaign" and when to use "Fund"

If you question is when to use campaign and when to use fund you may find this KB explanation helpful: BB3184 What are campaigns, funds, and appeals? To have gifts post over to FE, you will need to have a fund connected to each gift. As to 'pre-campaign' gifts, we almost always run a 'pre...

  • Effective Campaign structure?

We don't currently use RE campaigns for anything other than actual capital campaigns. Do you have any recommendations on a simple overarching RE campaign structure that can be used on a permanent basis?? i.e. I have seen one organization that divides all funds into four campaigns 1) annual giving...

  • Adjusting a posted gift

Hi everyone, I am hoping for some guidance. We have a number (between 100-200) of posted gifts I need to adjust. I already know that I can go within the gift record and adjust the fund. However, I also need to adjust the campaign and appeal but can't seem to do this in the same way I do for the fund...

  • Re: Restructuring Campaigns and Funds in our RE Database

LInda, tasks like that are daunting! Bit hard to advise on exact steps to start with as it depends on what your structure is now next to what you want it to be. Depending on what the changes are, the order they are done may not matter or it may be crucial. If you are just changing all the gifts in Fund...

  • Restructuring Campaigns and Funds in our RE Database

Hi. I am fairly new to Raiser's Edge (even though we've had the system in place for several years). I've realized that we have not been setting up our Campaigns, Funds and Appeals as intended and need to restructure them. Moving forward, I want to create two overarching campaigns (Annual...

  • Re: Campaigns, Funds, Appeals

Nikki has a good suggestion to look at what your org needs are. We are all different. Our C/F/A structure is quite different. For us "individual/foundation..." is not of primary importance. When needed data can be pulled by other means. I attached a quick sketch for just two of our campaigns...

  • Re: Campaigns, Funds, Appeals

Susan, Yes, as Kim said marking a campaign as inactive does not stop you from querying, reporting, etc. Primarily it just drops the name from the list when you are selecting campaign/fund/appeal unless the box is checked to show inactive. As to your old campaigns - when you have time someday you can...
