  • Identifying duplicates during constituent import process

During the constituent import process, is it possible to identify possible duplicate constituent records so that they can be excluded from the import? I am familiar with the duplicate report that can be run after importing the new records. Thank you!

  • Import constituents and check for duplicates using email addresss

Using this strategy if no one else has thought of a different one they use ... We have a list of emails and possibly names from another product and we wish to import them (if a name exists) to RE. Since the names are not required we do NOT want to check for duplicates by name, but will check by Email...

  • Re: Importing Help with Duplicates

Based on the answers so far, I'm not sure if I'm reading your question right but I'll give my $.02 also. When you run your import, select the checkbox to make an exception file. This will put all of your exceptions (duplicates) into a new file. You can do two things with this file: (a) use...

This spreadsheet is from a nonprofit client of ours that was processing a large amount of gifts that came in from their lockbox provider. They are a large nonprofit that have experienced staff that used Raiser's...

  • Deleting large group of constituents

Several months ago, an import was done that ended up to have a significant percentage of bad addresses. Basically what we want to do is start over, get rid of all of those constituents and import a new list known to have correct addresses. Our organization is farily new to importing, but I know that...

  • Re: Importing New Constituents with possibility of some already being in RE database.

Hi Carla, As Melissa mentioned, you can modify your duplicate criteria in Configuration. If you have it set on something fairly general like last name and first name, you can point to the file that you are planning to import and choose the options 'Validate data only' and 'Use duplicate criteria...
