  • Refund a gift

We have an unhappy constituent who wants her gift from a previous fiscal year to be refunded. We want Raiser's Edge to show that the gift was made in the past but we also need to show it was given back. Is there any way besides a note to show this? Has anyone had this problem in the past? How have...

  • Action tab vs. Notes tab

Do you write notes in the tab under Actions, or write notes under the individual note tab on the constituent?

  • Tributes - without the module

Trying to come up with a standard process of entering tribute donations into RaisersEdge but our organization did NOT purchase the tribute module. I've already set up a query to search the gift reference field for Tribute: (name here) but if there is a more standardized version someone else has come...

  • Re: Report for qualitative information

It is a very vague question as Laurel point out. Text or qualitative info in RE can be tracked mainly in Action, Attributes and Notes (and you have notes and attributes throughout the software). Solicitation strategies are best kept in Constituent notes. They are generally extensive, are not tied to...

  • Re: Listing in Annual Report

Similar to Nina's "old fashioned paper "Honor Roll Problem" file", I always add a note of type "Annual Report Exception" whenever a constituent requests an irregular listing. I then query for that note while generating my lists and make any requested changes. I then...

  • Policy for Notes

Does anyone have a policy for using the Notes Tab that they could share? We realized that, when pulling a Constituent Profile Report, it is impossible to sort the notes in the profile, so the dates and note types come out in a seemily random fashion. This is a problem because it is potentially confusing...

  • Separate Spouse Records

I'm dealing with the issue of when it is appropriate to create a separate record for a spouse. For the most part, our policy is to keep the husband and wife together on one record. Of course, this becomes tricky when dealing with information that is unique to one or the other. For instance, the area...

  • Missing Constituent Notes - "Out of Memory"

Hi all, A user has recently noticed that some constituent notes are having problems being opened. The error reads "Out of Memory". I think I read somewhere that this error was caused by the upgrade from RE 6 to 7. is this correct? Can anyone confirm this? Thank you for your assistance. Troy

  • Re: Audit trail of marking constituents as Deceased

Recently we have begun copying the obituary from the online obit into a note on the constituent record whenever we mark someone as deceased. That note automatically shows the author of the note and the date the note was created. Copying the obit serves 2 purposes, it verifies that the person really is...

  • Re: Tracking participants without the event module

We do exactly what you suggested ... we have a constituent code of Event Attendee and an Interests Attribute to indicate Golf Open, SavorSyracuse, etc. If we know they attended but did not make a donation to do so (ie, went on someone else's tickets) we link their record to the constituent who paid...
