  • Solicit codes

How do you ask your constituents to self-select solicit codes? Do you have to create constituent attributes to put on their profiles and then make the changes in the RE database via queries and global change records to move the attributes to solicit codes? Likewise, what about constituency codes?

  • Constituent Codes for a Children's Musuem

I need advise on how to set up our constituent codes. We are a new children's museum. If anyone else works at a museum, can you please share with me what codes you use? Thus far, I am thinking of: Corporation/Business, Foundation, Organization, Volunteer, Staff, Vendor, Not a Prospect, Media Contact...

  • globally change constituent code

we are trying to streamline our coding process and part of that is trying to change the constituent code for all donors to something specific such as "individual", "organization", "foundation" and so on. It is the case that most of our constituents have the code of "donor"...

  • Re: Best Practices - coding Trustees and Former Trustees

We currently use the dates aspect of the constituency codes - changing them as you do from Trustee to Past Trutee. As long as the Past Trustee is at the top of the list it will pull correctly for funding reports, and the dates help us remember when the changes in status were made. Do you have negative...

  • Re: Merging constituents

Peter I seem to remember (it has been 18 months since I last used) that the merge would not duplicate same attributes and constituency codes. I think all other info will merge over to the new record, giving you duplicate info in the master record. I do recall that addresses are merged to the master record...

  • Changing Constituency Codes and Keeping Track

Hello everyone, We have very specific constituency codes and every year, there are certain constituency codes that we have to change. We change new parents to current parents, grandparents to former grandparents, current students to alums and so on and so forth. We don't like to use the dates associated...

  • Need a query on gifts of $0.00

We need to run a query of parents that did NOT make a gift to last year's Annual Fund. How can I do that? Because when I put in total gifts = $0.00 nothing comes up, but Jane Smith clearly did not make a gift last year. I know there are others. Many thanks!

  • Donors that give as a couple

Hi Everyone, I hope you are all well. I was wondering how you manage donors that give as a couple. We have different donors levels as constituency codes which refers to the amount they have given accumulatively, i.e. Donor 1, 2 etc I am wary about applying donor 1 to both constituents in a couple as...

  • Re: Define 'appeals' and funds

David - I'm attaching a "cheat sheet" I created for board members at an organization where I previously worked, so that they could interpret the reports they were receiving. They were having a hard time wrapping their heads around the differences between Campaigns/Funds/Appeals/Donors,...

  • Re: entering employees into Raiser's Edge

We also use a constituent code. Works well for criteria in queries/reports. We keep track of department or other info in attributes. JoAnn
