  • Re: receipting gifts in batch

Thanks for the reply JoAnn! Sorry, I think my initial question had a poor choice of words. Not trying to update receipt info, rather just enter as we're batching. This has come up for us a few times as we're entering gifts into RE from our online solution vendor. The gifts are e-receipted automatically...

  • Re: receipting gifts in batch

Jocelyn, If I'm understanding your question... Any changes/updates you make in a batch before committing will be the information that is committed to the records. "What you commit is what you get" (Just FYI - If you enter "receipted" in batch you will not be able to receipt using...

  • Re: My assistant quit and I don't know how to enter a batch

I think Karen's procedures will get you through. Very well done. Later if you need more info/background about batches you may want to look at the user guide: http://www.blackbaud.com/files/support/guides/re7/batch_entry.pdf The forum posts are a great way to get helps as well as the BB RE knowledgebase...

  • how to know gift is because of appeal

Is there a way to tell when entering gifts through batch that they have an appeal on their record that might have brought in the gift? We don't use return envelopes very often. And, everything going out passes through my desk, so I usually recognize names and remember if there was an appeal. But...

  • Using Batch to Enter NetCommunity Gifts

How do other organizations enter online gifts from NetCommunity? We use Gift Batch for all of our gift entry, but NetCommunity does not seem to make it easy to transfer these gifts to Batch. Does anyone have recommendations on how to streamline the process of committing NetCommunity gifts along with...

  • Do you enter non-gifts into RE?

Our accounting office wants to begin to enter all incoming revenue into RE (we also use Financial Edge) including what they call miscellaneous cash receipts, which seem to be a collection of royalties from stocks, travel reimbursements, and other items which have nothing to do with our donors or our...

  • Running Total Does Not Update After a Gift Has Been Deleted

Membership Associate reported an error during gift batch entry. When she deletes a gift line due to entry errors, the Running Total does not update. When we ignore this and proceed to the Validate and Commit procedure (hitting "Commit" icon), the first "Commit Gift Batch" page with...

  • Re: Entering Pledges - To Batch or Not to Batch?

Wow, I consider my self a mouse in your "zoo" In answer to your question we're very small - average close to 100 gifts/week. (Capital campaign which was main reason for getting RE cancelled at beginning of 'recession' so work load much, much lighter.) I can't imagine processing...

  • Re: Gift processing times - how many per hour

I have a great spreadsheet that might provide some insight on gift processing times. This spreadsheet is from a nonprofit client of ours that was processing a large amount of gifts that came in from their lockbox provider. They are a large nonprofit that have experienced staff that used Raiser's...

  • Keeping Old Batches...

Good Morning! I'm new to BB, and the forums. We are having some difficulty finding out how long other non-profits typically keep their batch files in the system, and from how far back. We currently still have all batches ever created back until 2000. Any help would be appreciated!
