  • Re: Campaigns, Funds, Appeals

Nikki has a good suggestion to look at what your org needs are. We are all different. Our C/F/A structure is quite different. For us "individual/foundation..." is not of primary importance. When needed data can be pulled by other means. I attached a quick sketch for just two of our campaigns...

  • Re: Campaigns, Funds, Appeals

Susan, Yes, as Kim said marking a campaign as inactive does not stop you from querying, reporting, etc. Primarily it just drops the name from the list when you are selecting campaign/fund/appeal unless the box is checked to show inactive. As to your old campaigns - when you have time someday you can...

  • Campaigns, Funds, Appeals

Hello All! First time poster, long time reader here! I am newly hired over here and am taking on the task of trying to cleanup our very messy Raiser's Edge database. A question came up today regrarding our use of Campaigns, Funds and Appeals. I do believe we are using them incorrectly. We have a...

  • Detailed Fund Report

My director wants a Fund report like the Fund Performance Analysis that also lists the appeals that feed the fund and how much those appeals bring into the fund. Essentially a combo of the Fund Performance Analysis and Appeals Performance Analysis. Does a canned report exist? If not, any have tips for...

  • Campaigns/Funds/Appeals

Is there any danger in assigning duplicate fund numbers in Raiser's Edge? We sponsor both a golf tournament and a gala. My campaigns are Golf and Gala. In the Golf campaign I have funds associated with it called "8200 Title Sponsor"; "8400 Auction Donation"; "8300 Single...

  • Re: Campaigns

My 2 cents... We do not have the prospect module. We run an annual campaign and during my employ I've been through 3-1/2 capital campaigns - one with RE & FE as software. I'm guessing you know how the connection between RE & FE works: fund = project. GL #s linked to funds. Our capital...

  • Re: campaign, fund, fund category, gift subtype, etc.

Like Karen our campaigns are umbrellas for funds/appeals. We have just over 15 active campaigns (note - 3 annual campaigns: main YMCA and then one for each of the 2 branches - separate because each have their own budget; 4 campaigns like this with 3 'entries' of same type). Some campaigns have...

  • Re: Campaign/Fund/Appeal Structure

Our structure and reasoning is similar to what Michael described. Until recently, we really only utilized the 'fund' category with one annual "appeal". We added appeals for our Annual campaign this year - yes, using appeals does impose some limits on utilizing RE features. For orgs...

  • Campaign/Fund/Appeal Structure

Currently, my organization only really utilizes the "Appeal' category in gift coding. For obvious reasons, this is not taking advantage of RE and makes queries, reports, dashboards, etc...very complex or irrelevant. How are others setting-up their data structure? How are you using Campaign,...

  • Fund Categories and Types

Hi, Are fund types related to or equal to Project types in FE? And are Fund types a subset of Fund categories? Which is more important to use for reporting or query purposes? Our funds/project #'s are being added to and the project types changed by the Finance department. I am wondering if I should...
