appeal response (RSS)
  • Re: Appeals to be marked on record before the "ask"?

If they are a different solicitation, they have a different appeal. Each mailing or solicitation has a new appeal so that the appeal response can be tracked and expenses applied according. If we have an appeal that is the exact same every year that we don't track expenses and response rates I don't...

  • Re: Tracking/Naming Events

I would use the appeal as an all encompassing like Golf Sponsor I would then link the actual gifts to the annual event like 09Golf, 10Golf, etc. as registration fees or other donations as appropriate. I wouldn't use attributes at all if I had the event module. Attributes CAN be used in the Gift Detail...

  • 1st time tracking response to a mailout (event invite)

Our development officer has decided she would like to track the success of different mailings/contacts of our invite to participate in a certain event. We've never done this before but I set up different packages for each invite (our mail outs, different email blasts, faxed invite, etc.) and thought...

  • Re: Report for qualitative information

I would suggest that you maybe explore Moves Management and action track strategies. I think there has been discussion and maybe some white papers and examples here on Blackbaud's site and their forums. There are also some fields relevant to solicitors, etc. on a campaign where you can trak goals...

  • Recording appeal/campaign data correctly

I'd like some guidance on best principles for marking records. I'll outline our current scenario: We've just run a telethon campaign, and I've set an attribute to denote they've been selected for that campaign, and will likely set an attribute or two to denote their response code...

  • Re: How do you track mailings that your donors received?

I need some help on this same issue. My organization is having the same discussion about whether to use actions v. appeals to track mailings to constiutents. We really want track a few things: 1. who received the mailing and what letter type. 2. did they respond to the mailing with a donation 3. How...

  • Re: Reporting on Package ID

Another helpful tool is a homepage panel named Appeal Package Response. This breaks out the number solicited, number of gifts, and number of donors by package for the selected Appeal(s).

  • Re: Tracking Appeals

Keith, I have never been in a place with a membership program so I am not sure how if I would feel differently with different experience but I am a HUGE fan of recording mailings as they go out. Being able to query later on who got what appeal on this date and how many responded (and calculating response...

  • Re: The easiest way to globally assign an appeal?

I'm importing gifts but then would like to update the response and amount of the assigned appeals on the constituent records. Any thoughts on this? If I create an import file of all the appeals assigned for all the constituents that I just imported gifts for, I would have to delete out all the appeals...

  • Re: Phonathon Tracking - Best Practices

We use Appeal and list the response in the response column. We use "gave", "declined", "not reached" for our phon-a-thon responses.
