Re: Query on Relationships/Gifts
I need to know if anyone with a relationship to a deceased gave more than $100 in memory of them last year.
You cannot do this from the RE front end. It requires comparing two fields to each other (deceased ID) and (tributee ID). RE will only let you compare...

Eating Our Own Cooking
Yesterday Blackbaud re-launched the labs.blackbaud.com website and it's built entirely on Blackbaud NetCommunity . Michael Andrews prefers to call it "drinking our own champagne," but I think you get the point. There are a lot of new things to be found on the site, including a set of Blackbaud...

Re: Recurring Gifts processed through netcommunity....
We wrote a custom part in BBNC that uses the API to build and insert a pledge into RE. It works really well. I'm not sure if the out of the box solution in NetCommunity for Online Giving facilitates pledges.

PeopleSoft and Raiser's Edge Integration
We use Raiser’s Edge for all fund-raising development for all our donors, alumni and parents, plus all donation entry and receipting . The school’s Student Administration, Finance and HR system is on a separate system, which we are in the process of replacing with PeopleSoft. Can anyone using PeopleSoft...

Goin' Mobile with Blackbaud NetCommunity
Over at labs.blackbaud.com there's some new and cool things posted. Michael Andrews, the original mastermind behind Blackbaud NetCommunity , has posted both a white paper and free sample code to use BBNC on a variety of mobile devices.(Much more compelling than a press release.) A couple of highlights...

error in API
I’m trying to do some things with the api via a webservice that I wrote. We do this a lot and I’m getting this error System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException (0x80010105): The server threw an exception. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80010105 (RPC_E_SERVERFAULT)) at System.Runtime.InteropServices.Marshal...
