  • Yearly Appeals or not?

Last year we completely restructured our campaign/fund/appeals.  The old system was: Campaigns = multi-year, Funds = multi-year & match our GL, Appeals = a big mess, multi-year, usually the same as the fund, Packages = yearly New system is: Campaigns - multi-year, Funds = multi-year and 90% of gifts go into Annual, Appeals = yearly ...
  • Weekly class attendance in Event module

Hi,  we have an education series that is 8 weeks long, one class every week.  I don't see the point of being able to set this up as a schedule but then I can only mark them attended once, but oh well. I'm wondering if you would recommend creating 8 seperate events grouped together to mark weekly attendance, or if there is some ...

  • Re: Tracking/Naming Events

Hi Jackie - I use a seperate appeal every year for each of our events (golf2009, golf2010, etc.) and I use packages to seperate out sponsorships, registration fees, donations, etc. Every gift is then linked to the registration fee of an event participation - even for our pledged events we link gifts to registration fees.  This is because ...

  • Re: 1st time tracking response to a mailout (event invite)

thanks again Laurel - I think filtering should work perfectly for the person managing the event (I know I've seen that filtering button before but for some reason it's never registered with me!). Is there a way to have global settings for the way you view things?  Like can I make everyone see the same columns that I have set up ...

  • Re: 1st time tracking response to a mailout (event invite)

Wow, thanks Laurel!  I have thought of using those event fields before but never really liked the idea of adding so many people to the event that are invited but don't respond - sometimes that could be a hundred or more participants in the event that aren't registered.  The problem with that is the way everyone else looks at ...

  • 1st time tracking response to a mailout (event invite)

Our development officer has decided she would like to track the success of different mailings/contacts of our invite to participate in a certain event.  We've never done this before but I set up different packages for each invite (our mail outs, different email blasts, faxed invite, etc.) and thought that when they register I could add a ...

  • Re: Weird printing thing when merging letter directly from record

Hmmm...I've tried downloading the driver and installing the latest version but I can't tell if it worked or not.....my printer's properties don't list the driver version which is weird and actually my printer isn't listed in my device manager either.  I'm the only one using this printer so I don't understand why ...

  • Re: Using different letterhead in a conditional merge

Thanks - I guess I'll continue to run seperate merges.  Just to clarify though I'm not actually printing onto letterhead - I'm printing on blank paper and the "letterhead" is in the header and footer of every page.  Just when you merge into one document it doesn't seem to let me keep 3 different headers.

  • Weird printing thing when merging letter directly from record

Any idea why this happens sometimes when I hit print on a letter I have merged directly from a gift record?  This only happens with the letters set up in config and only about 20% of the time, but it's still annoying and a waste of paper since I can't tell if it will happen until after I hit print.

  • Using different letterhead in a conditional merge

Hi - I just wanted to double check that it is impossible to run a conditional merge if I have different headers/footers for each letter.  Some of our events have their own letterhead but when I merge the conditional merge it seems to take the header/footer from the 1st page and apply it to all instead of the header/footer specified in the ...
