  • Re: Reporting Issues! Please help!

Hi Everyone! I posted a few other things that you can try to increase your performance on reports if optimizing or otherwise closing your years doesn't yield much of a difference. If you find that to be the case, there may be some options on the report that you can tweak or disable to speed it up some. See this older ...

  • Re: financial edge access on a mac

Hi Theresa! Are there specific parts that your users are trying to get access to, or do they need the entire application? I'm asking because there is a web-based invoice request and purchase order system that hooks into FE. It can run on a Mac through Firefox.

  • Re: Time to run reports

In your report on the Format tab under Sort, do you have the box checked to "print a separate statement for each project"? That feature is basically asking the system to run the report once for each Project in the report. So, as a test, you can filter the entire report by one project and run it. The amount time to process one Project ...

  • Re: Electronic Signature - Pixelated ?

My suggestion would be to raise the DPI on the source image.  For instance,  If I just make a vanilla signature file in Paint, it defaults me to 96 DPI.  So that 188 (pixels) / 96 (dot per inch) gives me just under 2 inches worth of length.  I'm not sure that 900 pixels long on the check (printing) is apples to apples ...

  • Re: Electronic Signature - Pixelated ?

Hi Everyone! I noticed the chatter in this post and I did some discovery work to get you all some clearer information.  We have not exactly been clear as to how the software processes images for electronic signatures.  What we are expecting is a bitmap file that is exactly 188 (horizontal) and 44 (vertical) pixels.  Why is that ...

  • Re: Email Functionality with Reports

Sorry for the mispost.  Here's what I have to say... To expand on this a bit... if you are using Office 2007, there is a native way to allow access to outside programs to send email through Outlook without installing anything else. Here is how you do it: Open Outlook Select Tools > Trust Center Select Programmatic Access If ...

  • Re: Student Billing Weekly Wrap-up Roundtables

Hey everyone! I've looked over the questions that you've been asking us in the last few weeks and these are the topics I think would be beneficial to cover. End of Year Process (copying billing items, promotion of students, adding new payments plans),  Advance Deposit workflow, and Various Options when posting to ...

  • Re: Future Student Billing Reconciliation Roundtables

I've started a blog about the reconciliation topic where I'm going to post some additional tips and tricks about the process.  We've (Katie has) also posted the materials and the video recording of the past session on the FAQ page for Student Billing if you missed it. On the blog I'm also looking for input on other areas to ...
