    We use a relationship type such as student sibling or sibling of student.  We stay away from brother or sister types of relationships as we don't alwaysknow the gender based on name.  We also add children of our alumni in a similar way Child(son or daughter).  We also use a reciprocal to the relationship.

    We do the same thing as Watkins. We don't usually know when a donor makes a pledge that they are going to pay by donor advised funds. The individual does not get a IRS receipt but a letter stating the donation came through....My experience has been just never use the word pledge when talking to the donor advised fund if you are makig a follow-up ...
