  • Fund Codes

Ditto Kim's reply. We get sponsorship gifts that are to be applied to next year's fiscal year. We accept them in the normal fund, attach the appeal for the following FY and give a report to our Business Office (a reminder to them) at the end of the current FY noting which $ should be brought forward. Address Processing looks at the contact's attributes to include or exclude mail. If we just coded the org's address with attributes, we would ...

  • Foundations

Kristin, We would hard credit the Minneapolis Foundation for the gift and soft credit the individual. Is the Minneapolis Foundation a community foundation? I'm not an expert on the various funds a community foundation holds, but it seems to me that the Minneapolis Foundation owns the funds held in the John Doe family foundation... meaning ...

  • Alias

Drew, I see you run across the darndest things... and yes, you're right. There are reasons for doing something a little different in those cases. They aren't the norm however.. and that was where I was coming from.. the norm. Your constituency must keep you on your toes!! :) Rachel Newell, Donor Services Prairie View Mental Health Newton, KS ...
