  • Reports are not that much better in FE then AFN

I also agree that there should be something we could put in the headings that would read the date(s) of one or more of the columns in the report. The workaround that I use for financial statements is that I stopped putting date references in the report heading (other than the fiscal year of the activity being reported), and instead use the ...

  • W2 e-file

We are also still using version 6.42 payroll with Financial Edge. The electronic W-2 file produced from version 6.42 Payroll passes the AccuWage testing. As a backup, and to keep W-2 information readily available from past years, we use a product called 1099etc, which is relatively inexpensive (about $250/yr). This enables us to keep each ...

  • Payroll 7

We also have a fairly large bi-weekly payroll (385). I have tried a conversion on a ''standalone'' basis, but got stuck on the data conversion and kinda left it there for now. We will re-visit the issue again in the next couple of weeks. My opinion is that the majority of the posts to this forum about Payroll 7 are negative due to the ...

  • Check Registers by Project

Aimee: You should be able to create an AP invoice query filtered by project which you would include check (payment) number, vendor name, payment date, gl account distribution and amount charged to the project. You'd have to be careful to not include the total check amount, but use the invoice distribution amount to the project as an output ...

We have an Accounting and Financial Policies and Procedures Manual. It does not mention FE - it is not software specific, dealing instead with overall policies and procedures. We purchased a template from Wipfli/Young Associates. The template allows you to fill-in the blanks and tailor the document to your organization's needs. It cost $395 ...

  • Creating reports from queries

I agree with your point that you should not have to export a report to Excel then reformat, etc. There are many filters that can be applied to reports in FE that can make using a report as flexible as using a query. In fact, some of the report filters can be based upon a query. The income statement, for instance, has two levels of filters ...

  • Budget Manager Grid

We are using FE 7.3.413. When in the budget manager screen, while in "budget view", I can right click anywhere in the grid, and select "export grid to excel". This will bring the entire grid directly into an excel spreadsheet.

Hello all: Our development team is interested in obtaining software that will enable us to track the progress of our grant applications (both government and private grants), with the ability to make notations, assign responsibilities, and produce email reminders of tasks that need accomplishing. I'm not that familiar with Raiser's Edge or ...
