I was wondering if it is possible for the system to time out the users on education edge, who have been idle for 20 to 30 minutes? or if there is any work around. We have users who needs to be log on for the entire day but other users should be logged off after being idle for half an hour. Please leve me know if there is any solution to this.
Thanks
Humaira, This would be a wonderful option. There is a suggestion that you can go to in the Knowledge Base to add yourself to the list of people who want this. The KB solution number is BB110266 . We have a couple of casual, maybe once a month users, and when they want to get in and can't, they email me and I check on the Blackbaud Management Console and kick those users out who have not had any activity for awhile. I also regularly remind all of our users that if they are not going to be in the database for awhile, to please sign out. But do they? Nope.

Thanks for the KB number. I'll add myself to the list. I send an email at the beginning of the school year - when my casual users return from their summer break - to remind folks about logging off.
Also - after the third time I've had to log someone off using the Management Console - I change their login password back to our school default password. Then - when they can't log in they have to find me to reset it. I can then smile and say - "You can't log in? I must have had to log you out of the system three times for inactivity." I know - it's a little bit passive-aggressive on my part - but it works.

Candace, wow!! I wish I had your guts. That's pretty bold but I bet it works.
