I am new to the Admissions Office piece of the software and was wondering how others track an individual's source or where they came from. We have an Open House, set up a booth at Pridefest, etc. and these things have not been tracked in the past. So, my first thought was to create an attribute table of "Source" and then list whatever event they came to. If anyone has any suggestions, I would appreciate them!

We track this through a 'source' attribute like you are thinking of.
On Bio2, there is a section for Recruiting Information. You can set up a table for the Source and Contact Method fields.
