I'm trying to create an Appeal Dashboard that will show the summary amounts for several different appeals.  One of those appeals in 'Mail Appeals'.  The problem I'm having is that we currently have about 6 different mail appeals and only one goal for all of them.  I need to be able to see the total  amout for these appeals and how close we are to reaching our goal.  Is it possible to combine the gift amount totals for these appeals and then apply a goal to that total in Dashboard?  Would it be possible to create this through a query?

Hi Darla- the Appeal Query feature in Dashboard will not allow you to subtotal or total the fields in the query list. It will just list the output fields that you select.

One idea is to use that same appeal query and do a Pivot Report to get this data.... you can put subtotals and totals in the pivot report and easily move the columns and rows around- like a Pivot table in Excel. Only thing is... Pivot Reports live in the Reports section of RE, you can't put them on Dashboards. Some people will just put a quick link to the Pivot report on their Home page.
