    Student Centric vs. Parent Centric

Does Parent Centric simplify data entry of Cash receipts for a student billing deposit?

    Student Centric vs. Parent Centric

I believe that it does simplify the receipt process and it gives you more accurate information on the payment made. For example, you have a payment of $100 from Parent A for charges of $25 Child X and $75 Child Y. With parent centric you have a cash receipt for $100 going to each child. In student centric, you would add this as 2 separate payments of $25 and $75. That would make tracking back more diffucult when a parent questions the bill. As another hint that we find very helpful, we change the cash receipt default from Payment Received - Thank You to Payment Received - Ck # for checks and give the check #. This prints on the statements and gives the payer more info and you do not have to open each receipt when there is a question of what check was used for payment. For other payments, we naturally change the comment to match the type of payment (e.g. Credit Card, EFT, CASH)
