Raiser's Edge on SBS 2003 possible?

Long story short - I need to recover a failed server that ran windows server 2003/sql. I was hoping to implement sbs 2003 to utilize exchange for email. I'm a complete novice to RE and read that SBS is not supported...Is there a reason why it's not supported and has anyone tried it successfully? Or would it simply be easiest to just use server 2003 and sql as stand alone products on the same server?

    Thanks.

SBS is not as robust - go back to Win2003 + SQL Server.  It's going to provide the best performance and reliability.

Are you planning to use the same server as your Exchange server?  Or what is your intention regarding email + RE?
