    Break In Service/Membership

When a member drops and rejoins, how can I show make it appear that he has only been a member since his rejoined date? The original joined on date can not be altered.

This is an example of what I'm referring to:

John Smith joined the organization in January 2000 and dropped his membership in January of 2002. In 2008, John Smith decides to rejoin. In RE, despite the 5 year lapse in his membership, John Smith shows an 8 year term of service.

If I want to run a query in 2010 to pull all members who have served for 10 years, how do I keep John Smith out of the list?

    Thanks for any help!

    Re: Break In Service/Membership

if your membership is based on gifts you can create query of membership gifts ( i.e total number of gifts equal to 10 and then specify from date and appeal or fund, gift type etc ).
