how do you enter a gift from a charitable organization and not have RE produce a receipt.

    how do you enter a gift from a charitable organization and not have RE produce a receipt.

    We have a chartiable organization that gives us monies and currently we are entering it as a gift and have to remember not to send out a receipt. We need to know how we can enter this information in RE as a gift and have RE not produce a reciept. Your assistance will be greatly appreciated.

    Hello,

     All you have to do is when you are in the gift, put "Do Not Receipt" in the "Receipt" box. This is prevent any receipts from being made.

    You can simply mark the gift as receipted when you are entering the gift.

     Or I just delete the reciept once it's generated. But of course this could create room for error if someone didn't know to look for the receipt.
