Two events are on the horizon (we don't have the Event module): a Gala & a Bazaar. We will receive a hundred or more silent auction items from donors for each event. Each donor will be credited with a Gift-in-Kind. I'm thinking of adding 2 new campaigns, Gift-in-Kind-Gala and Gift-in-Kind-BZR to facilitate specific to event Gift-in-Kind reporting. I'm new to Raiser's Edge and would appreciate advice on the best way to handle Gift-in-Kind donations. Thanks!

Into what Campaign are you putting the money? I would put the GIK in the sames campaign. I would diffferentiate by Appeal Code. If your group have these events each year, I would also put in the year: 2008 Gala Gift-in-Kind, or GIK 2008 Bazaar
It seems redundant to create new CFA records when you just need to code the gift using the gift type "Gift-in-Kind". You can filter all reports using gift types. Just a thought.
