    State abbreviations on query

Is there a way to get only the abbreviation of the state to drop in rather than the state name?

This is actually a User Option so you are able to define the way that you would like to see code tables that have short and long descriptions for each user.  If you go to Tools, User Options, Query tab, Code Tables you can select Short or Long Description.  In some other parts of the program, you are able to format the field.
