7.84 and 7.85 Coming Soon

    I attended a BB User Group here in London and we were informed of the next two planned upgrades to the Raiser's Edge to happen in 2008.

     7.84 is scheduled to be released at the end of the current quarter, the main changes are:

    • SQL 2008 and SQL Server 2008 compatibility
    • Changes to the Legacy (planned giving) area which will allow you to connect a gift in kind to an exisiting legacy pledge

    7.85 is scheduled to be released at the end of 2008, main changes:

    • PCI Compliance for securely holding Credit Card information
    • File Management system for Queries (finally)
    • An option to Deactivate Attributes to stop users from using them but maintaining the information on the constituent record

    There really wasn't much more information than that given out so I can't help if anybody needs further details.

    I understand that they did not say more but you can elaborate a bit on your understanding of what was requested of BB regarding a Query FMS?
