Does anyone use Planned Gift Tracker? If so, how to do you use it? We are beginning an Endowment Campaign and I want to poll users to make sure this module would benefit us.

We are in the midst of conversion right now, but our organization, which is rather large, is definitely going to use the PG Tracker. How many deferred gifts does your organization have on record right now?
Camille,
We have 131 planned gifts. 43 insurance policies, 73 bequests, and 18 trusts. Currently I enter a gift as a Pledge with $0 gift amount and mark it do not post so it won't go through the General Ledger. I have set up a series of Constituent Codes (life insurance, bequests, etc.) to identify these gifts. A short constituent code is then repeated in the Reference field on the gift record. If the gift has an amount, such as the face amount of the policy, this is put on the gift reference field. I then export out these constituernts with the Gift Reference field to Excel and sort. It has become very time consuming to try to add the values in Excel. The Reference field may look like "2A - $100k life insurance".
I would appreciate any ideas. Thank you.
I was reviewing the Blackbuad forum and noticed your posting about the PGTracker software. We purchased the module and are beginning to "dive" into implementing the functionality. Would you be willing to share your experience with the product and any procedures that you might have in place for entering and reporting on your planned gifts. Your feedback would be a great help!

I know this thread is a little stale, but we have just converted to using planned gift tracker this year and are still navigating the ins and outs. We were previously jury rigging the prospect proposal module and are now going through the tedious process of conversion to the new module. If anyone is interested in discussing or sharing trade secrets as to their success or frustrations with this module, I'm all ears.
