I have recently had parents complain about the display of information in Netclassroom 7 when using Apple's Safari browser. It appears to me that the tables are not properly interpreted. The Safari browser shows two, thin, vertical columns on the left side of the pane, while a PC using Internet explorer expands the table to fill the pane.
Is there a solution I can offer these Mac using parents?
The solution is to ask the tiny percentage of your parents who use a mac to use the Firefox browser. The Safari browser (that is the default browser on most new macs) doesn't work well with NetClassroom 7. We figured that out in our pre-launch testing, and put a notice in our instructions that mac users should download and use Firefox instead. We also figured out that most of the parents who complained about Safari not working with NetClassroom already had Firefox installed because Safari also doesn't work with their banking/investment/shopping/work sites.
