    Actions in Outlook and RE

Does anyone have examples of protocols and procedures they are using as far as their policy on which things should be entered as actions vs. which things shouldn’t.

Hi David, I do not have a procedures manual, but we have discussed in the Development Department and decided that the following should go in the actions: Pledge reminders Change of address (for our Florida members) Special way to handle renewal notices Follow up calls or mailings This has really helped cut down on sticky notes and papers sitting all over our desks, which were always lost before the project was taken care of. I hope that this helps if you have any further questions please feel free to email me off line at [Email Removed] and I will be happy to help or you may call me at 419.385.5721 ext 3082. We use actions to record our interactions with our constituents. Personal contacts by phone, luncheon, email, etc. are recorded. Also, any special mailings or meetings. And lastly, since we do not have the Volunteer module, we record volunteer activity. We used to record events in actions, but we now have the Events module, so events have been moved from the actions tab. Kim Gajewski Wisconsin Lutheran High School [Email Removed]
