Has anyone tried to validate a RE username and password outside of RE on 7.81? I used to do this with a simple decrypt function, but BB has changed their encryption in RE 7.81 . I am not sure they will be willing to share their new encryption key. Is there a way that I can use the RE VBA components in say MS Access to validate a login? You'd need the API module to do it from outside RE (which isn't cheap!) Offhand I don't think you can actually get passwords, but you could validate a userid and password combo simply by trying to login to RE with them.
