    Removing that soft cretit spouse

Has anyone been able to remove that auto soft credit spouse checkmark when you create a new spouse relationship? I thought it would be quite easy, but to my dismay, what I realized is that relationships are saved independently of Constituents. You can actually open a constituent, add a spouse, save the relationship and not save the constituent, but the spouse stays. This means that the spouse relationship is saved to the database when the save on the relationship is hit. Not only does this bypass the constituent on save trigger, but it also makes it quite difficult, if not impossible to determin if the relationship is a new one or not. You see, I wish to automatically uncheck the checkmark only for new spouse relationships. I want users to be able to select the checkmark manually. Thanks in advance for any ideas. Can you not simply capture the on save of an individual instead. That way when the individual is saved (ie. the relationship) you simply remove the soft credit flag David Zeidman Development http://www.zeidman.info

Thanks David, I had not realized that the Individual (in the insert sample code) actually meant for Relationships. I had tested the trigger and it was not fireing. I had to save the vba, close RE, and reopen. Then it worked. I will change the code in consequence. Thanks, William PS. I did not think you would come through until tomorrow morning, given that it is 10:30pm in the UK. THanks again. William da Silva ---------------- eSimpleIT [Email Removed]
