The state of North Carolina allows non-profits to request sales tax reimburement on an semi-annual basis.I was wondering what was the most efficient way to compile the sales tax information for the request for reimbursement through the software. How are systems that must request the reimbursement of sales tax doing it?

We issued a G/L account number to each county in NC. When the invoices are coded, the merchandise is coded to the appropriate G/L accounts and the sales tax is coded to the appropriate county, like 10-1316-000 for Wake County. When it is time to file for reimbursements, we run a G/L report for anything that was coded to these accounts and we get the totals paid to each county in NC.
