    Grants Management Process

Hello, Does anyone have a guide or framework set up in excel(or another format) that they use for their grants management process... i.e. a flow chart that shows leads, grants proposals, grants awarded..etc.. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! Leigh Wintrode Development Associate Hanover Hospital [Email Removed]

We just use an Excel spreadsheet listing dates, grant amount asked for, who we want it from & have columns for when it's received & how much. It also lists if there is a follow up report required.

    Grants Management Process

Leigh, I use Raiser's Edge to manage my grant proposals! Within the funder's record on the Action Tab I set up an action and click on "mailing." I added the type of mailing as "grant proposal submitted" and the status as one of: "funded, pending, or declined." (These were added in Configuration, Action Status.) Then on the Attributes Tab I record the Amount of Request, Anticipated Notification and, if funded, the Grant Amount and Date. (These are added within Configuration, Attibutes, Action.) I can then track them on the Dashboard as a Constituent Action List. This also allows me to print Action Reports based on the status and date range. Hope this helps! J. Re: Grants Management Process

I currently use the excel spreadsheet method, but since we have just purchased RE and RE:Search, I would be most grateful to know more about how you do this!  We are in the planning stages now for conversion of data and I know that if I can have this process set up in advance, it will make the implementation SO much easier!  Anything that you could share would be most appreciated.  Thanks a bunch, Kara
