    error when posting

    Has anybody received an error message "User with system record has an invoice open locked for editing. The Process cannot continue", after entering numerous batches in accounts payble and then trying to post? I know there was a solution in the knowledgebase and we tried what it said to do to no avail. I think I have officially stumped Blackbaud, since everything they have told us to do we have tried and it has failed. thanks Nancy

    Somehow, BB thinks there is someone editing or in one of the AP records that you are trying to post or write a check for. I would suggest perhaps going into the BB Management Console on your server (if its there) and going to your database and seeing if there is any user still logged into your database. if so you can kick them off there. if that doesnt work, you might run the utility in admin that Validates your database. perhaps you have a corrupt AP record that is creating that message - this might ID it.

    I received this error message before upgrading to version 7.61. Now I do not have a problem posting. While getting the message on the previous version, the easy solution was to log off and then log back on again. Then do not do any other activity prior to posting.
