Would like to hear your comments on your conversion experiences. Have delayed conversion due to previous concerns. Have most of the problems been taken care of at the point? I don't want to wait until 6 no longer has support but am concerned about converting. Would welcome your comments.

Foxie, We converted in the middle of the year, and I feel it was the correct time for us. We chose a time when the previous year audit was completed, there were no budgets due, no audits pending, it was a slow time of year. We did have issues, and it took us a bit longer to get up and running, (make sure you post everything before you convert ! ! !) and there was a learning curve, Not that things changes a lot, but they were in different places. Like reports. I don't think I would have been thrilled to convert at the end of a fiscal year when everything under deadlines. So It worked for us, and now I can't even remember what it was like to run ANP. Good Luck! Brenda

What's your definition of the middle of the year? We converted in December, the middle of our fiscal year, and it was fine. We had already done several trial conversions so the final one ran on a laptop parked on my kitchen table on Christmas Eve so I could keep an eye on it. There were issues afterwards but there have been numerous patches since then. Barbara Prine Systems Manager Kingswood-Oxford School

We converted mid March 2007 and are still struggling with post conversion issues and performance issues within v7. There are quite a few things that take longer to process in version 7 that processed much more quickly in version 6. There of course are some nice perks as well. We have a large database that could be contributing to some of the slowness, but I have also been told that yes things move more slowly in version 7, so be ready for that. We waited to convert until now in hopes that the previous bugs in v7 would be worked out. I am not sure that is the case yet but I have been assured by BB in many conversations that they are prioritizing issues with SB that are currently not functional that were functional in version 6. Good luck both in deciding and in implementing the conversion timeline.
