Is there a way to export to excel without having a blank row between every single line? Example: Trial Balance report for auditor so he can import to his system. --- Edited at 3/19/2007 3:16:28 PM by Janet Tucker

Hi Janet - this has been a real pain for us too. Imagine having to export the entire year's GL as excel because the auditor doesn't want a .pdf. The columns get real screwy as you add more and more information, and the manual adjusting takes me a couple days. No one has been able to solve this problem for us yet. I'm interested to hear if anyone has a solution too.

I'll take the sympathy and share your pain. I'm a stand alone bookkeep/IT/programer. Just like to see what others out there are doing once in awhile. Thanks!!

We had a Blackbaud consultant one time who told me when exporting the trial balance not to use the comma separator (under detail on the format tab) and to export directly, not to preview first. Hope this helps.

THANKS!! Well, I played around with export and I used Excel 8.0 (Extended) Did NOT preview and on the Format Options that popped up automatically after was for formatting excel and I changed from "Non-Tabular" to "Tabular format". It got rid of the blank rows.
