The Education Edge Error

I am currently testing EE7 I have the server side installed and created a Deploy Kit. I have installed EE7 client on a workstation and updated the client as it wanted me to. However after I launch the EXE I recieve the following error. "In order to proceed, you must first configure your database(s) using the Blackbaud Console." I can get in to EE7 fine on the server. I have recreated the Deploy Kit and uninstalled and reinstalled it on the client machine. Still no luck. I am new to Blackbaud so anyones wisdom would be great!!! Thanks! Also I am using the default Blackbaud Database. --- Edited at 3/16/2007 8:58:00 AM by Eli Shock

    The Education Edge Error

If you are JUST starting, then you perhaps aren't accustomed to using the support part of the BB website. If you receive an error or message from the system, simply go to the Knowledgebase and type it in thusly: Error: In order to proceed, you must first configure your database(s) using the Blackbaud Console. In this case, you get directed to Knowledgebase article BB145808 This tells you to use the BMC to detach and re-attach the database. Possible there are steps in the set-up that you skipped/were unaware of. If you've purchased the software, then you must have purchased support, in which case you should call the support number: 1.800.468.8996 option 1 They are very good at answering questions. This is a complex piece of software; you have every right to be confused. But DO avail yourself of all the support they offer for "free"!
