Query Totals and Number of Students

I am new to Student Billing and am using v.6. When I create and run queries, I can't figure out how to total the query or subtotal by grade or do a count of the # of students listed. Am I missing something? Thanks.

You can export the query to excel, then total. The export icon is toward the top of the screen.

The only way I have found to do any calculations is to export to Excel and use the sort and use the sort and subtotals function in th Data menu

Thank you all. That's what I've been trying to do, but when I export I get the message, "Can't update-Database or object is a read-only".

I have found exporting to excel gives most flexibility in working with records - sorting, counting, etc. However, if just looking for a quick count - record count will appear in the query itself. Click on arrow for last record and in lower right hand of screen record count will appear. May have to run several queries to get the individual counts but it works. good luck! -Trish
