    ICVerify integration with VBA

Hi all- We're looking to get ICVerify for credit card transactions, however, it seems that ICVerify only integrates with RE Batch. We don't use Batch for gift processing. One alternative is to use VBA to code our own integration. Has anyone done anything like this? I'm guessing this can get pretty complicated with all of the possible response codes and such. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks! Mitch Gibbs Director, IS Advocate Charitable Foundation

I looked into it a few years ago but at the time there was no way of doing this via RE:VBA. There were no events triggered by it. Whether IC Verify have their own API so that you could write a custom application that combines both RE API and IC Verify's API is one possibility. David Zeidman Development http://www.zeidman.info

Not sure whether this is helpful to you, but I know IATS has an ActiveX object that you can use to run credit cards from VBA or other code. We use it for our web site. ASP/ASP.net Joel

Unfortunately, IATS is a lot more expensive than our primary merchant account. We've got IATS for NetSolutions, but they cost more than 1% more for us. I know they've got an SDK and I'm going to try to get a hold of it before making the purchase. I think we could create a macro in VBA that should work - but I'm not looking forward to it. We use IATS' API also. They have a Java version and an activeX version too I believe. Works well for us. We use it for our onling giving custom part. Garrett Keating Web Developer United States Naval Academy Alumni Association & Foundation
