We have only one person in AP and process a large volume of payments. To date, we have not been using the purchase order/encumbrances portion of AP because our AP clerk believes that doing so would double the work load. I would like to get an idea of how many AP clerks others have for the volume of checks they process. Does the value of having POs encumbered outweigh the cost of the added workload?
