We've been given approval to purchase between $10,000 - $15,000 for hardware or software tools that will monitor and help maintain our entire network infrastructure. Any suggestions or recommendations on tools/software that you use to assure the integrity of your systems?

Eugene, If you don't have one, a good Firewall is invaluable. We use a Cisco PIX and have events dumped into syslog an then use NET IQ's Firewall Log analyzer to generate some fablous reports on the amount and kind of traffic on our network. You can then block unneeded traffic or use QoS to priortize traffic in a way the utilzes bandwidth in the best way. Jeremy Reese
