    Attendance with multiple buildings

I need to speak to someone who uses the FAW for attendance. We have grades 5-12 with multiple buildings, and not sure if FAW will support all our needs.

We use FAWeb for grading and attendance in grades 6-12. We have two different schools that use it. One is Middle School and the other is High School. They are physically in the same building. What is your issue with multiple buildings? Norm Dunkin Landmark Christian School [Email Removed]

We have just purchased this product and haven't had a lot of time to set it up. The question is: does the system show the attendance status of each student throughout each class? Ex: if P1 teacher puts Jane Doe as absent (using the web client), does that show up for all her teachers within that days schedule? How do you handle emergencies, such as fire drills - lets say with no power to print a report. Do you have a hand copy backup from a sign in or sign out sheet?

A teacher will take attendance in period one for example and it will come to you as unexcused period one. You will then have the opportunity to change the unexcused to ill for example and the teacher will see his/her student ill on their screen when they pull it up later. Period two teacher will not see any of this unless you enter ill in all six classes for the day. I have been using this system for a year now and it was a very rough start so hang in there and let me know if I can be of further assistance.

If a student is absent for the whole day, if you are set up for day and class attendance, enter the absence in the day attendance. Then it will show up in each class throughout the day. Beth Teahan Technology Integration Coordinator Saint Stephen's Episcopal School Bradenton, FL 34203

Thank you so much for the responses. For some reason the test scenario I created was not linking the EE Attendance to the Web. We now have it working, the only process left is to setup the "process" and key people know how to input data, so we have full knowledge of all students at all times. Any tried and true processes that are now working the best for you?

You are welcome to call me at 425 283-1240. We start school tomorrow (Tuesday) so Monday would be better. Our school ends at 2:15 so I am freer after that. We are located in Bellevue, Washington so we are on Pacific Daylight Time.
