We are very close to launching our new net community website. From our test groups we have had approx 23% of those solicited registering.As these were "warm" groups we are working on a best guess approximate take up of 10% across the whole. We intend to send out a segmented mailing which will market this new facility to our alumni. As net community will only allow one user to authorise sign up requests at a time we are intending to stagger the mailing over 7/8 weeks (approx.16,000 solicitations per week). We will also have members of staff carrying out authorisations 6 days a week during this period. Can anyone out there give us any feedback about how U.S. Universities/Institutions have gone about the marketing of their sites and what percentages of their alumni have in fact signed up.
