Do other Hospice charities delete a fundraising/finance record from their database after the statutory period of 6/7 years of no further giving by the donor? Some years ago I brought this up at a Raiser's Edge Seminar in London and it appeared that no-one deleted records of past givers, however long ago they gave. We are aware how valuable these people are, and the potential for legacy giving, next of kin giving and so on that can arise from their connection with the Hospice. Do we nontheless have to delete them to comply with Data Protection? Dorothy Basey
