I recently attended a seminar introducing Blackbaud's "new" PaperSave module. It seemed great for moving further into a paperless process. Does anyone have it and how has it worked. It seems wonderful - but that was the presentation...

I would also be interested in hearing from anyone currently using papersave. I am curious as to how time intensive the scanning process is and which method is utilized. Printing out bar codes for later scanning (creating paper to save paper) seems odd. Other methods seem as if they would greatly hinder the scanner's work flow process.

i would also be interested in hearing about papersave. But in the mean time, does anyone have a hard copy of a PaperSave fact sheet?

I haven't seen PaperSave, but the last place where I worked was starting to develop a paperless office. What they did was save reports, invoices, etc. in PDF format or in a self-extracting file. Folders on the server were reserved for these reports, and every so often they were archived to a CD or DVD ROM. When you needed to access a document, you could just navigate to the appropriate folder and date and see it on your screen without have to look through file cabinets. Documents that had a customer signature or something like that were scanned. The A/R person would do this work between billings.
