Slow response time after Student Billing 7 Conversion

We have been using Financial Edge and Student Billing 6. We just converted to Student Billing 7 and all went well except that the Financial Edge response time seems to be much slower. We converted approximately 1500 student billing records and 2 years of history. Has anyone else experienced this problem? It has only been about a week so we're not sure if it is the system or something local. Thanks --

We have had the same problem since the beta version of Student Billing 7 with a smaller database. Steve Harris Business Director The de Paul School Louisville, KY --- Edited at 2/3/2006 10:35:43 AM by Steve Harris

Good Afternoon, We noticed that the response time was slow too. It is faster now as we have a new server. Tamara Phillips Trinity College School Port Hope, Canada

The most important rule in upgrade consideration is to double the minimum requirement of hardware capacity. This will compensate network and other impact. When we converted from FE 6.42.X to FE 7.5.X the things are working really well. The old server was Compaq ML370 Raid 5, 730 MHz Pentium processor 768 MB memory. The new server is Compaq DL360 3.X GHz Dual processors with 2 GB memory with RAID 1 configuration. No complaints. None. Rao/..
